Feedback on Don Preston's New Book: The Resurrection of Daniel 12;2: Future or Fulfilled

Just a few weeks ago, I introduced another new book. The book is entitled The Resurrection of Daniel 12:2: Future or Fulfilled? This is a major work, of over 400 pages indices. My purpose in this book is to chronicle the history of the interpretation of Daniel 12, to show the dramatic, stunning changes currently taking place, especially in the Reformed Postmillennial world, in regard to Daniel 12, and to show that Daniel 12 was in fact fulfilled in the age changing events of AD 70.

In writing this book, I thoroughly examine and expose every major attempt to escape the force of Daniel 12.  At the very beginning, I make the following observation and claim:

<<Let me state at the outset: If Daniel 12 predicted the “final” resurrection of 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4 and Revelation, then all futurist eschatologies are falsified.

In the body of the book, I provide a wealth of exegetical and logic argumentation to show that Daniel 12:2 foretold the same resurrection foretold in Corinthians and Revelation, and that Daniel 12 (and thus, 1 Corinthians 15 / Revelation 20) was in fact fulfilled in AD 70.

The feedback on this new book has been wonderful! No doubt, the subject has "hit a nerve." I want to share just one recent (6-8-16) feedback / review of the book that I just received:

"I have studied eschatology for ten years. I have read dozens of books from all perspectives, and checked the scripture to see if they agree. For 8 of those 10 years I have believed the postmillenial position to be the closest to biblical teaching. I now no longer believe that.

Postmil is very close, but if I am consistent and honest in my hermeneutic I cannot deny that preterism, or covenant eschatology as taught in this book is closer.

Don Preston has written a somewhat polemical, anthology of apologetics on the resurrection. It is a thorough dismantling of any futurist eschatology, all systems.

Whether you agree with all of his conclusions it is a must read for any scholarly student of the bible.
